Location: Buffalo, NY (In-office)
Position Type: Internship | Part-Time or Full-Time | Seasonal (Semester or Summer)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate + hands-on agency experience | Eligible for academic credit
About Us: We’re a fast-growing digital marketing agency that builds elite online strategies for contractors and home service brands across the U.S. Our work combines custom website design, Google Ads, SEO, and conversion optimization to drive real revenue for our clients. Local dominance is at the core of everything we do—we help businesses own their markets from the map pack to the organic results. We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Intern who’s hungry to learn how a high-performing agency actually operates and wants to build real skills on real client work—not fetch coffee.
Role Overview: As our Digital Marketing Intern, you’ll get hands-on exposure across the disciplines that power a modern agency: SEO, paid search, content, local search, and reporting. You’ll work alongside our strategists and account managers on live client accounts, learning the tools, workflows, and thinking behind campaigns that dominate local and organic search. This is a learning-first role, but it’s not a spectator role—you’ll own real tasks, see your work go live, and contribute to results. We want someone curious, detail-obsessed, and eager to take on more as they prove themselves.
What You’ll Do
Support Local & Organic SEO
- Assist with Google Business Profile optimization, citation building, and NAP consistency checks across client accounts
- Help audit local landing pages and on-page elements (titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links) for optimization opportunities
- Support review generation and response workflows that strengthen local reputation
- Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to surface content and ranking opportunities
- Learn to use tools like GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and BrightLocal under the guidance of senior team members
Assist with Paid Media & Reporting
- Help pull, organize, and QA campaign performance data across Google Ads and analytics platforms
- Assist in building and formatting client-facing reports and dashboards in Looker Studio and Google Sheets
- Learn how paid search, local SEO, and organic funnels work together to generate leads
- Support routine account checks—flagging anomalies, tracking conversions, and monitoring KPIs
Contribute to Content & Web
- Draft, edit, and format SEO content including service pages, blog posts, and location pages using our style guides and templates
- Assist with light WordPress updates—publishing content, updating pages, and basic formatting
- Support schema markup, image optimization, and on-page technical tasks as directed
- Help maintain content calendars and keep production workflows moving
Learn, Grow & Contribute
- Shadow strategists and account managers to understand how strategy translates into execution
- Take initiative on process documentation, research projects, and small automations that make the team more efficient
- Bring fresh ideas—we genuinely want to hear what you notice and what you’d try
- Build a portfolio of real agency work you can point to after the internship ends
You’re a Fit If You:
- Are a current student or recent graduate pursuing (or holding) a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Advertising, or a related field
- Have a genuine interest in digital marketing, SEO, and paid media—and want to turn that interest into real skills
- Are detail-oriented and organized, with strong written communication
- Are comfortable with technology and quick to learn new tools and platforms
- Are naturally curious and proactive—you ask questions, take notes, and don’t wait to be told every step
- Can manage your time, hit deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks without dropping the ball
- Are reliable, coachable, and genuinely excited to contribute to a team
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with WordPress, HTML, or CSS
- Coursework or personal experience with Google Ads, GA4, or SEO fundamentals
- Experience with content writing, social media, or basic graphic design (Canva, etc.)
- Exposure to AI tools, spreadsheets/Google Sheets, or light automation
- Any hands-on marketing work—personal projects, club roles, freelance, or prior internships
